Counselor in Training program (C.I.T.)

The new Counselor in Training program is a mentoring program for young employees who have an interest in working within the Activities Department. Here are the application criteria:

  • Submit an essay (1000 words typed) - Describe your definition of leadership & the skill sets you have that would make you an ideal candidate for the C.I.T. program.
  • Completing the Point Sebago Resort application.
  • If selected for an interview must be able to attend in person interview at Point Sebago Resort.
  • Must be between the ages of 14-15 years old.
  • Must be able to work the full summer season.
  • Ability to secure a workers permit.
  • If hired the C.I.T will be assigned to work in various areas within the Activities department.
  • C.I.T will be assigned to a team leader who will mentor them throughout the summer.
  • Monthly meetings with the Activities Director.
    • C.I.T. will be assigned responsibilities to enhance & develop their professional growth with the recreation field.
    • They will be required to create & maintain a portfolio over the season.
    • At the end of the season the C.I.T. will make a presentation to the leadership team discussing their portfolio & key lessons learned throughout the season.
  • Deadline for submission of C.I.T. application is March 25, 2013. All applicants must submit their application materials to:
